This is very helpful material. (28 pages)

COMPASSION FATIGUE Its Prevention & Management

!

Compassion fatigue is a condition experienced by professional and lay carers who work in many different occupations.  It arises from repeated exposure to and engagement with people's mental, emotional and physical trauma.  The problem is that this kind of exposure occurs in ways and contexts that do not allow for the release and resolution of the associated trauma stimulated in the worker.

This is a very serious condition.

This booklet includes material on how compassion fatigue arises, the signs that someone is suffering from it, comparisons with burn out and "therapeutic stress", and many practical ways of dealing with the condition effectively. (24 pages)

PERSONAL BALANCE AT HOME AND WORK

!

This booklet stands alone and can also be used to follows on from Maximising Performance and Well-Being at Work.

It deals in detail with grounding and life rhythms, and considers how to develop balance in our lives when we are very busy. The two areas - grounding and life rhythms - are fundamental processes in our lives and can be easily harnessed for our benefit.

There is a lot of other information here, too.  We highly recommend this booklet if you are not keeping a good balance between home and work in your life.   (32 pages)

RELAX FOR YOUR LIFE'S SAKE Unwind, Loosen Up and Really Live

!

Modern life is killing or making many people ill because they don't have ways of coping with the stresses under which they live.  However, there are things we can do.

Ken and Elizabeth Mellor outline in this booklet the wonderful benefits of grounding and centering, and how to relax deeply using both processes.  What is involved is very easy to use and is wonderful for people wanting or needing to learn how to cope with the pressures of modern living.

Very importantly, you can learn how to live in a relaxed style, not simply how to relax when you can get away from it all.  (29 pages)

Small Acts, BIG CHANGES

!

As this title suggests, big changes in our lives can be achieved through small steps.  This is especially important for busy people who don't have time to add much more to already packed schedules.

Understandably, this booklet is very popular.  It enables people to do the few extras things involved without taking more time to do them.  Moreover, it describes how these extras can make a very big difference in people's lives.

It also describes different types of centering and grounding, the principles of each and is accompanied with exercises.

In summary, it is about nourishing both our bodies and our bank accounts while promoting and sustaining physical, emotional and mental health. (36 pages)

STANDING YOUR GROUND

!

Standing Your Ground helps people learn the value of assertiveness and how to take a stand.  This is very important information for many people, because situations arise for most of us on most days in which we would benefit from presenting ourselves more powerfully and forthrightly than we usually do.

The booklet includes several exercises that you can practise alone or with another person.  Many styles of assertiveness are described and suggestions are made about when and how to use them.  There is discussion also on the importance of the words we use and how to choose other words if we are not successful with what we have tried.   (24 pages)

THRIVE don't just survive

!

The information in Thrive, Don't Just Survive introduces the reader to several fundamental areas that promote good living and abundance.

The booklet is about how to access the energy and vitality available inside us all, how to increase the abundant supply of that energy, how to set and pursue goals so we get what we want and need in life, and about how to stay balanced, alert and aware in our lives.

This material helps us to grasp life with both hands, to look ahead and see where we want to go, then to declare our direction confidently and follow it.  (34 pages)
