Summer Sanctuary

Changing the World - Starting with Me

16th to 21st January, 2010

Seymour - Victoria

This workshop will be a deeply restoring
experience. Time walking in the bush,
deeply regenerating meditations, chanting
and lively discussion, will all help to
prepare us for the year ahead.

The workshop is about taking time out to stop, refocus and reshape ourselves and the world around us. It will involve meditation, and powerful discussions of fundamental issues facing all life on our planet.

Clearly, part of the challenge in doing this will be to deal with the many messages of doom and gloom that currently overwhelm us on a day to day basis. It is important to acknowledge that many of these messages are based in our current ‘external reality’ but we can deal with them by questioning what is currently taken as truth and the way things are. This will be done during the workshop mainly through meditation.

By meditating, we will establish a continuous link with the Being or core self in each of us and the Being underlying all creation. Once established in this, we can learn to allow the actions and decisions we make in life to arise from this core aspect of ourselves.

Setting aside old habits and activities will be part of this so that we can release ourselves from the robot-like conditions we currently and without knowing it support individually and as human beings.

The workshop will be inspiring and filled with thought provoking ideas that will enable us to break free from the moulds we are currently living by and reclaim the pure aliveness of the source of all life.

There is also lots of fun to be had (as with all Biame Network workshops) as we share the joy of being together and learning from likeminded souls.

THE DAILY THEMES OF THE WORKSHOP WILL BE

  • Getting back to being the source, back to our beginnings

  • Exploring the purity, intensity, beauty and simplicity of core consciousness

  • Making space for life by letting go of old patterns thinking, feeling and doing

  • Learning to express the life-force from the divine field into Nature

  • Taking stock in order to transform how we live using meditative practices

  • Discovering a fundamental realignment, reaching for freedom in life

  • Plans for the future.

The process of the workshop will be profound and powerful. We will discover that we are the architects of the world and that our inner patterns, commitments and intentions shape and reshape the Earth every day. And we will learn how to take charge of these capacities. Ken and Elizabeth will guide everyone through processes that will enable us all to embrace the profound power we possess to shape and reshape our lives and the world.

THE LEADERS
Ken and Elizbeth Mellor have years of international experience in leading workshops that combine meditative practices with personal growth. They are down to earth, fun and always practical. People usually feel comfortable and safe to explore their lives, to make decisions to make them easier, and to commit to using their new understanding. Both are Masters of Meditation, Reiki Masters, spiritual mentors, and very experienced in working with people from many different backgrounds.

FOOTNOTE ABOUT FIRES: Commonground is well prepared should a fire occur. Also, governmental warning systems are now in place and if something threatens we will suspend the workshop to ensure everyone's safety as much as we can.

A TIME TO REST
Come to the 2009 Summer Sanctuary.  Take a break from the pressures of life and enjoy the opportunity to refresh yourself in the company of others who share the same interests and needs.

The beginning of the New Year is a perfect opportunity as we naturally look towards the year ahead.  Everyone can benefit enormously from regularly taking stock of themselves and their lives, from opening up to the realities they face there, from celebrating their successes and from making plans to deal with current challenges.  Reviewing our existing goals and deciding what to do then are natural next steps.

ATTENDANCE
You can attend for less than the six days. Contact the office for information.
